lol sure. I like to start with the part of the body I want to be the focus (almost always the face). I tend to start with the eyes because they make great measuring devices for getting facial proportions right just as the head does the same for the rest of the body. If the head is in an awkward pose or there's a hat involved I tend to to the whole circle with center lines thing but if not I find it easier just to go by the eyes.

That's about all I can think off...remember reference images are your friends! Especially if you're trying a crazy pose!
